Behind the notebook
A place to pay
closer attention.
Not every useful idea needs to become a grand theory. Sometimes it just needs a place to land.
What belongs here
Field Notes is a small, independent notebook for things learned along the way: a useful technique, a question worth revisiting, or an explanation that finally clicks.
The emphasis is on clarity over certainty. A short note with one concrete example can be more useful than a polished essay that never leaves the drafts folder.
A note about the starter content
Alongside the technical notes, this site includes clearly labeled instructional examples. They explain ways to write and publish a learning note; they do not describe the author’s employment, projects, or personal experiences.
These examples are a starting point for the notebook. Original learning notes will live alongside them as the collection grows.
Share the lesson, not the confidential details
Use your own words and permission-safe examples. Leave out credentials, customer information, internal code, and anything you are not authorized to share. When in doubt, keep the note private.
